Built on factory floors. Still there.

Melbourne-based industrial software since 2002.

Our story

Unitracesoft was started in Melbourne in 2002 by a software developer who had spent years working inside global software companies and kept seeing the same problem: the software on factory floors didn't match the way production lines actually work. It was built for sales demos, not shift changes.

The decision was to build something different — lean, practical, and configured for the plant it runs in, not the one in the brochure. We started with coding and labelling on production lines. Over two decades that's grown into manufacturing monitoring, OEE, inventory management, asset tracking, and WMS integration across food, beverage, automotive, glass, resources, and government.

We're still in Melbourne. The same person who scoped your system is the one who answers when something needs attention. That hasn't changed in over twenty years, and it's not going to.

How an engagement typically starts

We don't do cold proposals or generic pricing sheets. Every project starts with a conversation about what you're actually running.

1

Discovery call

You describe what you're running, what's not working, and what you're trying to achieve. We ask questions. If it's not a fit for us, we'll tell you that too — no point wasting either of our time.

2

Site visit or detailed brief

For production automation projects we typically visit the plant. For inventory and software projects we work from a detailed brief. Either way, we need to understand the actual environment before we scope anything.

3

Scoped proposal

We put together a clear proposal — what's included, what's not, and what it costs. No ambiguous line items. If the scope is phased, we say so upfront.

4

Build, deploy, support

We build and deploy the system ourselves. Post go-live, you deal with the same people throughout — not a support desk with no context on your installation.
